Plot Summary:Granite Mozambique, September 2019. The population of Cabo Delgado province in the north of the country is being brutally attacked by militants who have sworn allegiance to the Islamic State. The militants attack one of the villages, Mbao, killing all the inhabitants. Only thirteen-year-old Jose and his older brother Luis remain alive. The leader of the militants Mamudo offers Jose and Luis to join the ranks of his gang, otherwise they will suffer the fate of the rest of the villagers. Despite Jose's objections, Luis agrees to join the gang.\n\nIn the mean time, the government of Mozambique is asking for help from Russia and Sudan - the local military and police do not have enough training to cope with the militants. Soon a group of Russian instructors headed by an experienced commander with the call sign \"Granite\" arrives in Mozambique.\n\nAlready in Mozambique, Granit and his fighters find out that the local army is not trained at all, the weapons are in an unsuitable condition for combat, and the soldiers themselves are not eager to defend their country. However, Granit manages to convince some of the Mozambican military to overcome their fear of militants - \"it's not scary to die for the Motherland, it's scary to lose it.\"\n\nA group of Granite, together with a detachment of the Mozambique army, goes into the jungle in search of militants. In Mbao, Granit and his fighters find Jose - he managed to escape from the militants. However, Jose does not want to tell Granit exactly where Mamudo's camp is located - after all, his brother Luis stayed there.\n\nJose escapes from Granite and returns to the camp at night to warn his brother. However, it is no longer possible for Jose to escape again - the militants wound Luis and bring Jose back to the camp. The Granite Group is planning an operation to destroy the militants. However, Granite, surveying the location of the camp, notices Jose there. The operation has to be adjusted... During the attack, some of the militants together with Mamudo manage to escape.\n\nMamudo's curator, Lionel Dyke, the head of a private military company from South Africa, sends a detachment of mercenaries led by Arab Omar to help the militants. Omar is going to trap the Russians in one of the nearby villages, Limalo. But Omar is no longer counting on Mamudo's fighters - \"you have already lost.\"\n\nMamudo does not like this state of affairs at all - in order to regain his authority in Lionel's eyes, Mamudo decides to lay an ambush on the way out of Limalo - \"it doesn't matter who wins, the Russians or Omar - in the end it will be our victory.\" Granit's group knocks Omar's mercenaries out of Limalo, but on the way back it gets into an ambush organized by Mamudo. During a brutal battle, Granit manages to save his fighters, but he himself is injured, incompatible with life...
